Don Grust, CEO
Don Grust has more than 28 years of experience in the high-tech industry, including 17 years in wireless and mobile computing. Don joined Apacheta in 2006 to lead business development and marketing and was promoted to CEO in October 2008. Prior to Apacheta, Don founded Espria in 2002 to provide mobile consulting and systems integration services to software companies. Prior to Espria, Don spent 8 years at Broadbeam. As a founding director and vice president at Broadbeam, Don's responsibilities covered strategy, marketing, product management, business development and international operations. Prior to Broadbeam, Don worked for RAM Mobile Data (now Velocita Wireless), ran his own technology consulting firm and was a member of technical staff at AT&T Bell Labs. Don holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Rutgers University.
Mike Kabat, Vice President of Engineering and Operations
Mike is a veteran of the mobile software industry with over 19 years experience in mobile software engineering and solution delivery. Since joining Apacheta in early 2003, Mike has led Apacheta's customer solution delivery efforts and has been instrumental in the evolution of the Apacheta mobile framework. Previous experience includes Mobile Computing Analyst for Dun and Bradstreet, where he developed mobile handheld and laptop applications for consumer package goods and pharmaceutical companies. Mike was the lead engineer at JAS Concepts and played a key role in developing their flagship mobile middleware products. Mike also served as Director of Research & Development at Cotelligent, managing all product based mobile software development initiatives. Mike holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
Dwight Kensil, CFO
Dwight Kensil joined Apacheta as chief financial officer in 2005. Prior to Apacheta, Dwight spent 6 years with Qualcomm-Ericsson as Senior Director of Finance responsible for financing operations for new carriers worldwide. Dwight has over 25 years in international finance with global corporations such as Motorola, Akzo Nobel, Qualcomm and LM Ericsson. He has been involved in dozens of international transactions as well as merger and acquisition projects spanning the world. Dwight has lived in 7 countries and speaks German, Dutch and Afrikaans. He has an undergraduate degree in finance from Eastern Illinois University and an MBA and MA in international finance from Webster University in Vienna, Austria.
